Hello, I am not an expert, I’m just a life time follower, so here is my take on it: It’s not about memorization, it’s having your wants and desires aligned with God’s, if your beliefs are in line with Torah you don’t have to “remember” them because they will come naturally, with that said, reading scripture will give you all the knowledge you need to “keep Torah” but it won’t help unless you have a relationship with Yah and are filled with his spirit, without the spirit we are just following rules.
